The project aims to make opera more approachable to a wider audience while maintaining the highest artistic standards. Presented in partnership with the Embassy of France in Malta, this theatrical production of Carmen brings Bizet’s timeless masterpiece to life through a captivating fusion of opera, drama, and immersive staging. This special collaboration celebrates the rich cultural heritage of France while offering audiences an unforgettable evening of passion, music, and powerful storytelling. Presented as part of D’Opéra Malta: Paris Concert Edition, this special theatrical production offers a shortened, intimate version of Bizet’s masterpiece, created for contemporary audiences. With theatrical staging, costumes, expressive storytelling and carefully designed atmosphere, this production transforms Carmen into an accessible yet deeply engaging operatic experience.
