This public workshop on the 29th of August from 10am till 12pm , offers a close look at a selection of prints from the National Collection at MUŻA , inviting participants to explore the rich and varied world of printmaking. Through guided discussion and practical insight, attendees will learn about key printmaking techniques such as etching, engraving, lithography, and woodcut, and how these processes have been used by artists across centuries. The session will also highlight the important role of printmaking in the history of art, particularly in the dissemination of ideas, artistic experimentation, and accessibility of images. Participants will gain a deeper appreciation of prints as both technical achievements and powerful artistic expressions. Please note that this is not a seated event; attendees will be required to move around the displayed artworks, although chairs will be available if needed. Tickets can be purchased online here or from Heritage Malta museums and sites.
