The Festa tal-Immakulata għat-Tfal is a cherished annual celebration in Qala dedicated especially to children and families, honouring the Immaculate Conception through prayer, tradition and community spirit. The event begins at 8:30am with a special Holy Mass for children at the Sanctuary of the Immaculate Conception, during which young participants and their families gather in devotion to Our Lady. Parents are encouraged to dress their children in blue or white, colours traditionally associated with the Blessed Virgin Mary, adding a vibrant and symbolic touch to the occasion. Following the Mass, at 9:30am, a festive procession featuring the statue of the Immaculate Conception makes its way through the streets of Qala, accompanied by the lively musical programme of the Ite ad Joseph Band. The procession passes through Triq il-Madonna and concludes in Pjazza San Ġużepp, where children receive a special blessing. Combining religious devotion with a joyful atmosphere, this family-oriented celebration offers children the opportunity to participate actively in an important Marian feast while strengthening the values of faith, tradition and community.
