The Maracujazz Quartet arrives at JazzKlabb with a sound that is as rich in geography as it is in groove. This Colombian Latin jazz group draws on a wide palette: the folklore of the Andes, the pulse of salsa and cumbia, the cool intimacy of bossa nova, and the playful momentum of choro, all held together by the improvisational spirit of jazz. Jonathan Lopez on clarinet and saxophone, Juan Oviedo on guitar, Peter Farrugia on drum set, and Esteban Amortegui on vibraphone and percussion form a quartet of striking versatility. Expect colour, precision, and an evening that moves you, in every sense. Cabaret tables seat up to four guests and include complimentary light nibbles.
