Old Master’s Drawing

This event forms part of the Student Summer Programme. On 14th July, from 10:00am to 12:00pm at MUŻA , children aged 11 and over are invited to take part in Old Master’s Drawing . This unique workshop offers participants the opportunity to step into the world of historic art through a curator-led tour of selected drawings from the museum’s reserve collection – works that are rarely displayed due to conservation requirements. Participants will study these remarkable pieces up close while learning about the traditional materials and techniques used by master artists of the past. In the second part of the workshop, they will put their new knowledge into practice through hands-on experimentation, exploring historic drawing methods and materials inspired by the Old Masters themselves. The participation fee is €10. Tickets can be purchased online or from Heritage Malta museums and sites.
