Gozo's capital throws its most important festa around the historic Citadel, combining traditional horse races on Republic Street, an agricultural fair at Villa Rundle Gardens, brass-band performances and stunning fireworks. It is the island's biggest Assumption celebration, blending sport, tradition and spectacle over the day and into the night. Entry is free.
