Set in Stone

This event forms part of the Student Summer Programme. On 7th September , at 10:00am at Ħaġar Qim and Mnajdra Archaeological Park , children aged 8 and over are invited to take part in Set in Stone . This creative and educational activity begins with a guided exploration of the Ħaġar Qim and Mnajdra Archaeological Park, where participants will discover the remarkable designs, motifs, and patterns carved into the prehistoric stone structures, as well as natural patterns found within the surrounding landscape. Drawing inspiration from their observations, children will then take part in a hands-on workshop where they will design their own unique pattern and carve it into stone, gaining insight into both ancient craftsmanship and artistic expression. The participation fee is €10 and includes one accompanying adult. Tickets can be purchased online here or from Heritage Malta museums and sites.
