Picture this: Victorian Malta, 1888. The Royal Opera House enters its twentieth glittering season, promising grand opera, exquisite ballet, and imperial splendour fit for Queen Victoria herself. But beneath the velvet and gaslight, something is wrong.
Whispers ripple through Valletta. Sailors swear they’ve seen a masked figure roaming the streets at night. Theatre bohemians speak of a presence moving through the shadows of the opera house. Accidents multiply. Chandeliers creak. Voices echo where no one stands.
They call him the Phantom.
As fear tightens its grip on the company, a young and gifted dancer, Christine, begins to hear a voice guiding her artistry — demanding beauty, perfection, truth. Drawn deeper into the mystery, she dares to look beyond the mask and uncovers a secret far more human, dangerous, and dazzling than legend suggests.
Set against a decaying opera house clinging to grandeur, The Panto of the Opera is a thrilling Pantoween tale of illusion and identity, where comedy collides with gothic romance — and where the greatest ghosts are the ones we create ourselves.
